Born 7th January 1963 at Lagos, Lagos State, she had both her Primary and Secondary School Education at Lagos State. On the completion of her Secondary Education, she was admitted into the prestigious University of Ife for her tertiary education, where she obtained her L.L.B. (Hons.) degree and thereafter obtained her Bar Licence from the Nigeria Law School, in 1985. She had her National Service at the Federal Ministry of Justice, Marina, Lagos State, after which she practiced law very briefly before her appointment as Magistrate Gd. II in September 1988 under the watch of Hon. Justice Mbatidiong Udofia (now deceased), the first Chief Judge of Akwa-Ibom State. She grew through the rank and file of the Magistracy and was appointed a Judge of the High Court in June, 2000 and sworn in on the 3rd July, 2000 by Obong (Arc.) Victor Attah. On the 30th June, 2021, she was sworn as Acting Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State; and following the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC), she was confirmed and sworn in as the substantive Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria (AKSN) on the 5th of October, 2021.
