Hon. Justice Ekaete F. Obot was admitted into the Nigerian Law School where she obtained her Bar License to practice Law in 1984. Thereafter, she served the nation under the auspices of the NYSC at the Federal Ministry of Justice, Marina, Lagos. She practiced very briefly in Lagos before proceeding to Akwa Ibom State to seek for employment in the Civil Service. She was employed by the Akwa Ibom State Judiciary as a Magistrate and later appointed a Judge of High Court bench of Akwa Ibom State. Hon. Justice Ekaete F. Obot was sworn in as the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State on 20th June, 2021 by His Excellency, Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, the then Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
